I build and maintain web sites
for the UK small business (often
home-based businesses), with an emphasis on clear, uncomplicated
design and with every effort made to ensure a good natural search
engine position over
time. My services include web site maintenance and hosting and
email provision. For many clients I also manage a Google
Adwords campaign and carry out search
engine optimisation work.
I am also an approved supplier for Business
Link customers. Click the links opposite to

I
have been "on the net" since the mid-90s,
initially doing intranet pages for large UK companies, and an independent
professional web designer since 2001. Previously I worked in IT
quality assurance and my initial introduction to computing was as a
COBOL programmer. This business has been running since 1995, and has
customers from all parts of the UK. Some moved their
design and/or hosting to Kaywebs after a bad experience with a
previous design house or internet service provider. And some also
sought makeovers of sites that were created for them years
ago "by
a bloke they knew" and not touched since. Others
ask me to take over existing sites and maybe remove excessive
Flash animation, improve their search engine position, add new functionality
or aid general site accessibility. And I receive many
requests for "first" web
sites, often via Business Link, for companies that are looking to e-commerce
stores to improve the financial situation of their existing bricks-and-mortar
venture. I also provide fair
and impartial advice on all web-related matters, to fully support your
web presence. Find out more about my background and experience here.
Most of my sites are assembled using regular HTML, styled
with CSS (cascading style sheets), plus simple Javascript and PHP/MySQL
coding where needed. And sometimes it can be cost-effective to use and
customise off-the-shelf add-on functions; I have installed a wide range
of these including databases,
forums, photo
galleries, content-managed
sites and live
web stats. Find out more by clicking the margin menu items.
